Project Overview
Are you excellent at supporting a team and want to make a difference? Then this position will be for you!
You will be part of a team that is working to support and recognize hard-working Albertans during the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the team, you will support a team of Grant Program Advisors as various supports and funding programs for eligible Albertans are implemented.
As the administrative support for the team, you will be responsible for client management, data entry, file management, pre-screening received applications.
You will also complete reconciliation in a variety of government computer systems, testing and maintenance of systems and the process manual.
You will also be integral in assisting the Grant Program Advisors with the grant application assessment process.
You must be able to work independently, utilizing excellent time management, computer and interpersonal skills, as well as be an effective team member supporting the Grant Program Advisors, the Administrative Team Lead and the Manager.
You will maintain the necessary program and system knowledge to support the delivery of the workforce programming. By doing this you will help ensure the Branch can meet processing targets.
Work will be completed primarily remotely with the possibility of some occasional work in office in downtown Edmonton.

Description of Services
Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing various administrative activities.
Duties will include the following but are not limited to:
• Proofing and formatting word documents.
• Pay invoices.
• Assign and return accounts receivable.
• Record tracking in Excel.
• Order supplies.
• Answer phone calls and emails.
• Create documents and memos as required.
• Organize events, coordinate Lync meetings and book rooms as required.
• Copy, scan, fax, file and perform records management of physical and digital documents.
• Process and review expenses.
• Act as point of content for any clients.
• Take meeting minutes.
